Punctuality
Start & end on time. I will be punctual.

Anonymity

I will not reveal what someone else has personally shared in the group with anyone outside the group.

Respect & Trust

I will respect the right of each person to have her own thoughts, feelings and beliefs based on her knowledge and life experience. I will trust that my dignity and life experience will be respected as well.

Non-Judgment

I will not judge others. Feelings are not right or wrong. Each person has unique, valuable life experiences.

Gentleness

I will be kind and gentle with others and myself. Hurting persons tend to reach out and hurt other persons. Healing persons tend to reach out with healing compassion.

Listening

I will listen attentively and will not interrupt when another person is talking.

Sharing

I will focus on my true self and try to use first person (I, me, myself) in my conversation. I will give myself the freedom to share or pass. I will allow time for each person to share.

Rescuing

I will not preach, editorialize, give advice, or try to problem-solve and/or rescue others. Each person has an ability to solve her own problems.

Cross-Talk & Interruptions

I will not laugh at someone who is talking. I will not talk to others during another person's sharing. I will not interrupt.

Mutual Responsibility
As the group continues to meet, I will take my turn as a facilitator. Leadership rotates among the members; this allows me to strengthen my facilitator/leadership skills at my own pace.
